Career Premiere provides an opportunity to meet some of the brightest students from Virginia’s prestigious liberal arts and sciences colleges, community colleges and universities in the western regions of Virginia.

It is not just a job fair; it is a forum to meet tomorrow’s leaders.

Students and recent graduates who attend this event annually benefit from a wide range of educational programs available through our liberal arts institutions.
They have learned critical thinking and analytical reasoning combined with excellent communication skills.
These qualities make the students prime candidates for employment in any type of organization.

Wailes Conference Center, Sweet Briar, VA

The redesigned event will function as a boutique style career fair with event rooms based on career fields or sectors. This is designed to give students and employers a chance for more meaningful conversations and connections. Students from all 10 of the sponsoring institutions will be in attendance, in addition to other institutions across the state.

The rooms will be divided into the following categories: federal employers, business (sales, marketing, management, accounting, finance, etc), non-profit sector, communications (PR, social media, advertising, etc), STEM (engineering, healthcare, environmental science, other sciences) and human services. If you don’t see your employment sector listed, please let us know and we can advise what room would be the best fit for you.

REGISTRATION DETAILS:

The cost for the Career Premiere Fair & Expo is $100.  Register for the event and learn more at this link.  Once you log into your Career Premiere account from last year, or sign up if you are a new employer this year, on your Welcome page, click on Career Fair Registration to the far left. Then click on the “Add Request” button at the top right of the screen. Scroll down, and select the Career Premiere Fair & Expo event for February 23, and complete the fields. Once your registration is approved, you will need to make payment by credit card or check.

Please register by 1/21/22. There will be a cap on employer attendance to keep the event boutique style.

Registration deadline: January 21st, 2022 – or until all spaces are filled.

Inclement Weather Policy: Should a weather emergency be occurring or imminent, Career Premiere staff may come to a decision to cancel this event. If the event is cancelled, the Career Premiere website will be updated with the news. Employer registration fees will be refunded if the event is cancelled due to a weather emergency, however Career Premiere cannot be held responsible for any other expenses, including cancellation or change charges assessed by airlines, hotels, travel agencies, or other organizations.

Cancellation Policy: Full registration fees will be refunded for cancellations before or on Friday, February 14th. Cancellations occurring after February 14th will result in a partial refund (less costs incurred). Please see above for cancellations occurring as a result of inclement weather.
